The Lanthier Bakery was founded in Alexandria, Ontario, by Georges and Adrienne Lanthier in 1932. Being one of the four new bakeries in the small town of Alexandria, given that bread was mainly produced at home, the challenges were numerous. Initially, all customers were served door to door and were offered a variety of fresh bread and pastries. In 1985, a second production unit was built in Montreal to meet the ever increasing demand. In 2015, Lanthier Bakery diversified by offering the production of delicious Brioche. More than 150 people were ultimately employed in production, sales and administration as the bakery developed. A figure that rises in 2020 to 250 employees!
